At JW Marriott®, we see wine as an opportunity to share, reflect and inspire. That's why we have created the JWM Wine Club. It is a celebration of wine in a distinctive club experience that complements our guests' shared passion for wine. Members enjoy exclusive wine access, curated club shipments, and winery tasting privileges.

Stags' Leap Winery is the foremost producer of Napa Valley Petite Sirah and one of the leading Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons. Winemaker Christophe Paubert embraces an old world style of crafting estate grown, terroir-driven wines that are a pure expression of the land. Deeply rooted knowledge of the vineyards drives the quality of their hand-crafted wines that capture the true essence of the Stags' Leap estate. Framed by the dramatic palisades to the east, the estate's volcanic and alluvial soils are acknowledged as a contributing factor to the region's reputation for Cabernet Sauvignon. Paying attention to this gift, understanding and working with its potential, lies at the heart of winemaking on this historic estate.
Christophe Paubert, Winemaker and General Manager at Stags' Leap Winery – For Christophe Paubert, the identity of a wine is found through the terroir. Christophe's career has spanned the industry from sales to winemaking, and his impressive background includes positions at Chateau d'Yquem and Gruaud-Larose as well as projects in Chile, Spain and Washington State. But it was the terroir of Stags' Leap that drew him to California. "I believe that wine should express the uniqueness of the land, and the Stags' Leap wines have always showcased one of the most distinctive regions in the Napa Valley."
Christophe's winemaking philosophy is informed by the sum of his varied experiences. He makes wine the way he learned in France, to showcase the fruit and not the winemaker's hand, but he applies a technical understanding of each and every step of the process. "Wine is culture. There is history and tradition behind it. You enjoy it on the table with food and good conversation, and making wine involves working with other people. I recognize this same attitude toward wine and culture at Stags' Leap. I am happy to be here. Stags' Leap is place that becomes a part of you. It charms you. You set out on a ten minute walk, and before you know it you've been wandering the property for three hours."

Etude produces an enviable line-up of high quality, collectable Pinot Noirs from the esteemed Carneros Appellation. Its flagship wines are modeled on the best from Burgundy but speak clearly of their contemporary California origins. The winery's founding philosophy is that winemaking begins in the vineyard long before the harvest and, that inspired grape growing diminishes the need for intervention by the winemaker, resulting in an authentic expression of the varietal. Etude's celebrated Pinot Noirs and its small production of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Rosé of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are vinified from grapes grown on the Estate. The consistent high quality of the grapes Etude grows and sources, combined with the skill and experience of the winemaking team, explains why Etude wines consistently earn the highest accolades from consumers, trade and wine critics.
Jon Priest, Winemaker and General Manager
Jon joined Etude in the spring of 2005 after spending over 15 years at some of the Central Coast's most celebrated wineries, including Wild Horse and Taz Vineyards. He established a reputation as an innovator, overseeing the crafting of more than 30 varietals, many of which earned critical acclaim and numerous awards. Through it all, Pinot Noir remained his passion, thus making Etude a perfect home.
"There's no better varietal with which to study the craft of winemaking than Pinot Noir. It is the most challenging, unforgiving and quixotic of all wine grapes, and yet the most delicate and transparent." Working together in this oenological quest for perfection with viticulturalist Franci Ashton, they transform the very finest Carneros and Napa Valley grapes into world-class wines sought out by the most discriminating wine lovers.

No winery more thoroughly embodies the timeless appeal and seductive flavor of Napa Valley than Beringer Vineyards, Napa's benchmark producer since its establishment in 1876. Now in its third century of crafting classic wines from Napa's finest appellations and vineyards, Beringer today is guided by Winemaker Laurie Hook. Beringer has built a legacy crafting renowned wines from a prized collection of Napa Valley vineyards, celebrating the uniqueness of each site and a remarkable winemaking tradition. For over thirty years, Beringer Private Reserve has been synonymous with the finest in Napa Valley wines. Built on generations of winemaking expertise and crafted from a prized collection of single vineyards, these wines epitomize the transcendent quality attainable through artful blending. The prestigious Private Reserve wines offer the best that Beringer has to offer, and Single Vineyard wines highlight the unique qualities of single site terroir. Beringer is the only winery to win Wine Spectator's "Wine of the Year" award for both a red and a white wine (1986 Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon and 1994 Private Reserve Chardonnay).
Laurie Hook, Chief Winemaker
Laurie Hook is only the seventh head winemaker in Beringer's over 130 year history. In 1986, Laurie came to Beringer as an enologist, a job that allowed her to solidify the scientific side of her training. In 1997, she was named assistant winemaker to Winemaster Ed Sbragia, and in 2000 was promoted to Chief Winemaker for Beringer Vineyards. "You can't make wine only through science," says Laurie. "California winemakers learned that in the 1970s and early 1980s, when a highly scientific approach resulted in very clean wines but not necessarily the most interesting ones. Ed has been a great mentor – he has shown me the importance of being true to oneself and that while the scientific part of winemaking is important (and fun), it is just as essential to trust your instincts."
"One of the great things about being part of such a long-standing winery is that it has given us the time to collect some fantastic vineyards. There is nothing better than being out in the vineyard tasting grapes in the early morning, just as the fog rises. Following that process through to a bottle that someone might enjoy 10 years later is part of what makes my work so fascinating. I find it incredibly rewarding to be able to remember each vintage in both winemaking and personal terms."

Chateau St. Jean is the winery that put Sonoma County on the wine map. Built in 1973 on a family's dream to make world-class wines in Sonoma, Chateau St. Jean continues to set the quality standard for Sonoma County including the coveted Cinq Cépages, Sonoma's most lauded wine. Chateau St. Jean pioneered Sonoma single vineyard wines back in the 1970s and continues the tradition today with twelve vineyard designated wines that celebrate each uniquely expressive vineyard.
Chateau St. Jean's impressive portfolio of wines showcases the best of Sonoma County's diverse growing regions with a complex terrain of small valleys, benchlands and hillsides. A coastal appellation, it is favored with fog in the morning and sunny afternoons cooled by maritime breezes. From the cool Carneros area in the south to the more moderate Russian River and Alexander Valleys further north, a wide variety of grapes can enjoy the optimum climate to achieve rich varietal flavor.
Margo Van Staaveren, Winemaker
Margo Van Staaveren will celebrate her 35th harvest at Chateau St. Jean in fall 2014. During her long tenure with the winery, Margo has played a pivotal role in every facet of the winemaking process. As Winemaker, she makes the final decisions involving blend and style to produce consistently high quality wines in the super premium and luxury category. That's no small task considering Chateau St. Jean produces an extensive portfolio of Sonoma County, vineyard designated, and limited production reserve wines. Margo has been instrumental in the production of the winery's flagship wine, Cinq Cépages, since the premier 1990 vintage release. She was named "Winemaker of the Year" by Wine Enthusiast Magazine in 2008.
One of the things she enjoys most about her job is putting together the final blend for the Reserve wines. "Since no two vintages are alike, it gives us the opportunity to carefully search for the vineyard lots that offer the biggest fruit expression and the ability to age in order to create a wine that truly captures the best of the vintage," says Margo. The Reserve wines represent the most concentrated, distinctive and balanced wines made at Chateau St. Jean.

The foundation of the St. Clement's highly respected portfolio of limited production wines is the winery's long-term relationships with some of the best winegrowers in Napa Valley. With owned vineyards and grower relationships in Diamond Mountain, Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder, Rutherford and Spring Mountain, St. Clement sources from half of the Napa Valley's 33 different soil series and 100 different soil variations. The result is a wonderful collaboration and a diverse palate of flavors and tannin structures. St. Clement's portfolio of stunning Napa Valley wines is anchored by the flagship Oroppas Cabernet Sauvignon. The first vintage of Oroppas was made in 1991, and over the years it's become a style icon for St. Clement – a rich, opulent Bordeaux-style blend that emphasizes concentration, depth and velvety tannins. Growers in six unique Napa Valley sub-appellations including Diamond Mountain, Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder, Rutherford and Spring Mountain contribute to this wine each year. St. Clement red wines are vineyard-driven, with distinctive fruit character, varietal integrity and firm, elegant tannins. Complex and layered, the wines will never overwhelm or overpower.

Paul Bologna began his career with Marriott twenty years ago, and has spent decades learning about wine and conversing with resort guests in the fine art of wine tasting. A graduate from UCLA with a degree in Economics, Paul has worked and lived in multiple wine growing regions from Napa Valley to Tuscany, learning firsthand the different methods of wine production from some of the world's greatest winemakers. In 1998 he was named sommelier of the year by the California Restaurant Association and presently conducts weekly wine tastings on the scenic boat dock of the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California.
Josh McNair grew up in Oregon, helping with vineyard maintenance as a 12 year old at the Foris winery near Grants Pass one summer. Little did he know that this would set him on the path of wine years later. Josh graduated from the University of Arizona with a degree in Physics but, having spent the previous six years working in restaurants, decided to remain in the world of food and beverage. After his first year bartending in Primo Restaurant at the JW Marriott Starr Pass he took over the supervisor position and his interest in wine grew exponentially. In the winter of 2008 Josh joined the Court of Master Sommeliers along with many other Tucsonans and his path was set. The team of Sommeliers at Starr Pass has conducted wine classes for over seven years. In addition to joining the team in January of 2009, Josh has also participated in the Wine Ambassador program since its inception, taking the lead position two years ago.
Veronica Losa is the Wine Ambassador Lead for the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa. She began her career in JW Marriott Cancun in February 2001 as a Sedona Grill, Room Service and Honor Bar Manager and has traveled extensively building her wine knowledge. Trips to wine destinations such as Alsace, France and Germany awoke her passion for the world of wine and inspired her pursuit of a formal wine education with a French Master Sommelier Ludovic Anacleto.
Omar López is the Manager of the JW Marriott Cancun Resort & Spa's Gustino Italian Grill & Lobby Bar. He has achieved four diamond recognition.
Jody Lydic is valued member of the JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes Resort and Spa staff. He began his career at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa in Tucson, Arizona in 2007.
